NicoleSwan.com investigative reporter uncovers coverup
Posted on | March 7, 2005 |
Count yourself lucky as you may be among the first to hear about this breaking news story. Earlier this evening during an E! Television special on Celebrity beauty secrets, Jessica Simpson said her skin secret was Accutane. Her quote was something to the effect “My dermatologist put me on Accutane, and I haven’t had a break out since.”
Hmmm. But this is the same Jessica Simpson that has been touting ProActiv. Does this seem fishy to anyone else? So she says Proactiv fixed her skin and meanwhile she’s taking the big gun Accutane.
I hereby call out Proactiv and Jessica Simpson for deceptive advertising.
(Okay, I don’t know how “breaking” this story is, but interesting none the less. To me at least. And it’s my blog and that’s what matters.)

i’ve been thinking the exact same thing Nicole! Jessica is
a fraud! I saw that Celebrity beauty secrets as well! I was on
Accutane for six months, and i was told Proactive didn’t work. Glad
I didn’t buy into it. That deceptive bitch.

PS, when I tried to post this, I didn’t put in my email and it gave me a warning that basically said that I was posting too frequently here….so I think your error messages are screwed up. Does this make any sense?? TGIF!

I saw in a clip from the 2003 Operation Smile West Coast Gala, she cited Accutane as being the only thing that worked for her in keeping acne at bay. Then I read in a very short JANE magazine interview in 2004 that her dermatologist prescribed Accutane for her, and she hadn’t broken out since and that it was the only thing to ever work for her.
Then just a month or two after this, she started doing ProActiv commercials, saying that Pro Activ was the only thing to ever work for her.
Sorry, I have no respect for that lady.

I agree! She even cited Accutane on the Newlyweds, if I remember correctly…ooooh I wish this would get out more!

I knew ProActiv didn’t clear her skin! That $h!t doesn’t work. Accutane however, does work. I took it for 5 months and my skin has been as smooth as a babies bottom ever since.

Jessica Simpson is an idiot even to work for the deceptive and rediculous company PROACTIV.

Please publicize this deceptive act by Jessica Simpson and Proactive. Too many people are believing Proactive and walking around with scars for life when what they really need is a dermatologist visit. I am ashamed of the two Stanford dermatologists who denounce their own professions and degrade their own credentials by selling lies and playing into acne sufferers’ despiration!
I lived and worked in the San Francisco and I know these two dermatologists. They don’t recommend Proactive to their own patients many times.
Notice how the Proactive ads never tell you “PROACTIVE ALONE” was the treatment for the bad acne cases featured in the ads and that is how Guthy Ranker is getting away with putting up false advertisements by Jessica Simpson, who really cleared on Accutane and perhaps with something else, such as Proactive to moisturize her skin!
