Tonight I deleted 757 comment spams. This was only a week’s worth of accumulation. Luckily, my comment filters caught 753 of them.

    I know it’s a pain, but you should go back and close comments on all of your previous posts. I only leave the current post (and maybe the one prior) open to comments–it’s cut down on my spam a TON

    Yeah, I already did that. I was trying to avoid that route, but in the end the spammers won in that regard. I’m now getting a much more manageable amount of spam.

    And it wasn’t too much of a pain since I just did a database query to close comments en masse.

To live in a bike friendlier world. To create the greatest collection of fabulous shoes ever assembled. To see a viable third party in US politics. To get local Rio team riders to acknowledge existence on road.
