Craptastic

I added more memory to my laptop as well as did a fresh install of WinXP Pro.
It did not go well.
UPDATE: All systems are a go. Everything’s working fantastically, except for some wifi interference from a nearby network and a little font glitch.

Oh dear. I hope you were able to sort everything out o_0
The last time I did that - well - my laptop still doesn’t understand that it has a real modem as well as a NIC card. I guess I’ve just been too lazy to fix it since I’m usually on a network anyhow. I really should get up the guts to do it again, but I don’t want to deal with all the trouble.

I loaded XP Service pack 2 last night before I went to bed. I have not used that PC since. I’ll check it later to see if it survived.

It’s okay Lindsey. We’re all fine here.
Just make sure after installing to immediately go get the latest drivers from your computer manufacturer as well as Windows updates.
My main problem was my wifi. First the card wouldn’t work at all (put computer in an instantaneous state of freezedness), however, the updated drivers from my manufacturer fixed that. Then I had more problems with the wifi. I got that all fixed, now my problem is interference from a nearby network. Grrr…
