the requisite resolutions
Posted on | January 5, 2004 |
In honor of the new year — which, by the way, hasn’t been especially nice to me so far — I thought I’d list a few resolutions for the year. I shall just call them goals, though, as that is what they really are. I will check back at the beginning of next year, and cross-off if accomplished.

(Warning: I am so cliche, but I don’t care.) Lose those last few pounds.
Write my loved ones, especially those born prior to The Great Depression, actual snail mail letters.
Do more web development experimentation.
Learn a new programming language. (Suggestions? Maybe Perl/TK)
Research and write paper on pitfalls of national healthcare system.
Save money. Period.
Contribute to open source project.
Finally finish making my site web and accessibility standards compliant.

- Try Ferite ( http://www.ferite.org )
I love Ferite. Very nice integration with C. Very easy to embed, or easy to extend with modules.
Maybe I am a little biased since that is the only open source scripting language I have gotten things commited to its -core.

I don’t know. I’m not convinced. What can ferite do for me? What makes it better than any other language that does the same stuff?
But, your suggestion has been noted and is on the list for consideration.
