My weekend

Because I know you care. My parents’ horses did very well — had almost a perfect weekend in fact. Miss Stormin Norma won her race collecting about $5k for my parents. And she didn’t just win, she dun’ whooped ‘em (that was in my best cowboy accent). Dr Meter Reader ran a great race. He cleared the field at about 200-250 yards and was leading by 2-3 lengths until some crazy horse on the outside hit her stride late and got him at the wire. We don’t think the jockey even saw the horse coming on the outside. Maybe if he had he would have taken Meter off cruise and won the race. We shall never know… Meter did collect almost $4k for the second place finish.

They are home now. My parents also bought yet another horse (as if we didn’t have enough). Yes, Dashing By By, Norma’s full sister, is ours now. She is quite the little runner as well.
