miss independence

Despite the fact that South Dakota decided to act like a Pacific Northwestern state today rather than the Great Plains state that it is, I went to the county seat and officially changed my party affiliation from Republican to Independent. I also found out that South Dakota officially recognizes the Libertarian party. Why I didn’t put that instead of Independent, I don’t know. I’m a pansy. I blame it on the guy that always runs for governor on the Libertarian ticket whose only platform issue is the legalization of pot.
All this rain has, however, created new entertainment I like to call The Backroads Amusement Park. This park is not for the faint-of-heart or those with rear-wheel drive cars. Its featured ride is my driveway. Dirt road with no gravel + too much rain = wheee!
